Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the Foundation’s central governing and management body. It is composed of between 5 and 13 members, appointed by co-option for a renewable three-year term.
The Board has broad decision-making powers and is responsible for all ordinary and extraordinary management activities necessary to pursue the Foundation’s statutory aims. Its responsibilities range from drawing up and approving programmes to adopting decisions on the budget, amending the Statutes, and taking strategic decisions.
Its flexible structure and democratic decision-making procedures provide for the consultative involvement of the Scientific Committee and the Assembly of Friends of the Foundation in the most significant decisions. This helps ensure participatory and transparent governance, which is essential to preserving and advancing the Foundation’s cultural and civic mission.
