Alexander Langer Archive

The collection brings together Alexander Langer's working materials, gathered and used at different moments of his life. Old magazines and press clippings were kept in Langer's homes, while part of the collection comes from the Documentation Center - Cendok, which was gradually transferred to the Pro Europa association and directly made available to the Foundation. Documents were deposited at the South Tyrolean Greens' Council Group, while the most substantial part comes from Langer's office at the European Parliament in Brussels. Most of the collected documents functionally relate to Langer's work or his participation in various civic, editorial, or political campaign initiatives, from his high school years until his death on July 3, 1995. The collection can be summarily described as a set of handwritten sheets, articles, texts (both originals and copies), correspondence, documents and publications collected in original or copy form, posters and photographs.
The approximately 1,900 files are kept in 220 boxes.
