Climate Justice and Peacebuilding

What does it mean to raise one's voice — nonviolently — in defense of environmental and human rights, and in a way consistent with what Alexander Langer stood for? This is the guiding thread of Euromediterranea 2026, One Planet. Joining Hands, which this year presents the International Alexander Langer Prize 2026 to François Kamate Kasereka, a Congolese activist from North Kivu. Three days of encounters between Bolzano and Vipiteno: the award recipient will engage with activists, researchers, legal experts, and international practitioners on peace, climate justice, and human rights — aspects that are increasingly and deeply interconnected.
