A Journey Across Italy - François Kamate Kasereka Brings His Voice from North Kivu
For nearly three weeks, from 12 to 27 April, François Kamate Kasereka will travel across Italy from Rome to Vipiteno. A tour that is not simply a programme of events, but a journey of encounter: with students, activists, institutions, and local communities engaged with the issues he embodies every day — climate justice, human rights, peace, and democratic participation.
The most symbolically significant stop is Rome, on 14 April, where at Palazzo Montecitorio, the Foundation will present the 2026 International Alexander Langer Prize and its recipient, in the presence of Anna Ascani, Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies. Thirty years after Alexander Langer's death, the Prize recognises in François an heir to that vision: the conviction that ecological justice and peacebuilding are two sides of the same coin.
